Position Overview: The Traffic Dispatcher is responsible for the daily coordination of the traffic schedule. Using the Dispatch Planning System technology, this role owns the execution of successful on time delivery to all of our customers.

Knowledge Base / Responsibilities:
General computer skills – Excel, Word, Outlook, ICS
General knowledge of both Department of Transportation regulations / Hours of Service – logistics or transportation experience preferred
Printing Driver Bills & Carrier BOLs
Monitoring and assigning Drivers based on DOT Hours of Service and policy/procedures
Communicating with Drivers and Carriers on Dispatch instructions and changes
Coordinating with DC and PEC appointments and trailer requirements
Daily communication with Drivers to review service needs and requirements
DOT filing and other administrative duties as assigned
Schedule: Onsite. Sunday - Wednesday (12hr shifts) 7am - 7pm. Thursday to Saturday off.

Qualifications / Requirements:
Self-directed / ability to work with minimal supervision
Detailed oriented and well organized
Excellent team and communication skills
Computer skills (i.e. Access, Excel, MS Word, Outlook, ICS, billing systems etc.)
Professional oral and written communication skills
Results Oriented – able to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and acts decisively
