Position Overview: Clean Harbors Dallas/Fort Worth, TX location has an opening for an Environmental Waste Technician. The Environmental Waste Technician is responsible for the performance of tasks associated with handling, segregating, packing and inspecting all chemical wastes in accordance with our company policies and procedures; This position is an entry point into an exciting and rewarding career at Clean Harbors. Transitioning Military, this is a great opportunity to leverage your skills and training as you return to civilian life. This position is known internally as an Insite Chemist.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
- Prepares computer-generated packing lists, labels, manifests, and land disposal restrictions notifications;
- Performs inspections of staging, accumulating and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping procedures and compliance;
- Inspects storage area for leaks or spills;
- Inspects drums for compliance with labeling regulations;
- Collects, segregates, and properly packages waste chemicals for disposal to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance;
- Samples and profiles of new waste streams or any wastes needing analytical testing;
- Physically demanding position; Must be able to lift 50 pounds;
- Prepare all necessary tracking paperwork.
What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required;
- Hazardous waste experience a plus;
- Valid Driver’s License and clean Motor Vehicle Record.
