Position Overview: The Critical Power Technician, Level 1 is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and installing DC Power and single-phase UPS systems, conduct basic troubleshooting, replace battery systems, and assist with the execution of customer projects.

Key Job Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot DC power and UPS systems.
- Perform Startup on UPS systems and assist on customer projects.
- Replace battery systems.
- Resolve client problems while mitigating downtime to resolve customer issues in a timely manner, while applying great customer service behaviors.
- Work safely and follow all safety requirements.
- Work independently or with a team in a professional manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School or GED Diploma required. Prefer an Associate Degree from an approved two-year college or university or very strong equivalent experience.
- Must be able to obtain an TWIC card
- Working knowledge of basic AC and DC electrical/electronic theory.
- Troubleshooting and repair of single-phase UPS systems is a plus.
- Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to organize his/her own work and work independently, with limited supervision.
- Ability to clearly articulate ideas (both written and verbal) to both internal and external customers and to listen effectively to customer needs.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong workplace relationships with an emphasis on customer satisfaction.
- Experience in telecommunications environment is preferred, but not required.
- Traveling is extensive, up to 80% of the time.
- Must have schedule flexibility, as services may be performed during the evening or weekend.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to work overtime.

The work is performed in various locations, including data centers, refineries, power plants, telecom headends, hospital settings, with co-workers working side-by-side with a moderate level of activity being performed by co-workers.
